Support

Help, on your schedule.

Your built-in AI assistant is your first line of support — it knows the application inside and out. When it can't solve something, we're here.

The first thing to try

Ask the built-in AI assistant. It was trained on the application, the chart of accounts, every report, and every workflow. Questions like "how do I print a 1099?" or "where do I change my company logo?" get answered in seconds, from inside the software — no tab-switching, no search, no phone tree.

Ask the AI

Built in. Fastest. Handles most questions — product usage, accounting guidance, report customization, accessory management.

Email support

For activation issues, billing, and anything the AI couldn't solve. Same-business-day response during weekday hours.

Frequently asked

Answers to the questions you'd ask first.

Do I need Microsoft Access installed?

No. The free Microsoft Access Runtime is all you need, and the installer detects and downloads it for you if it's not present. If you already have Access 2019, 2021, or 365, that works too.

Will this run on a Mac?

Not natively — the core technology is Microsoft Access, which is Windows-only. Macs can run it through Parallels, VMware Fusion, or a Boot Camp setup. We recommend a small Windows VM for Mac users whose primary machine is macOS.

Can I import my data from QuickBooks?

Yes. The Data Import accessory (included) has pre-built mappings for QuickBooks IIF exports. The AI walks you through the first import, asks which accounts to map to which, and pulls in customers, vendors, chart of accounts, and transaction history. It's usually a single-afternoon migration.

What about Xero, FreshBooks, Wave, or other packages?

Each of those can export to CSV. The ETL accessory ingests CSV out of the box. The AI helps map the columns to accounting fields on first import — after that it remembers, and subsequent imports are one click.

What happens to my data if your company disappears?

The accounting application is on your computer. Your data is on your computer. Neither depends on our servers to work. If we closed tomorrow, you would lose only the AI chat features — the books, the reports, the printing, the accessories you already have installed — all continue to work forever.

How do I back up my data?

Your data lives in a single .accdb file (local mode) or in your SQL Server database (multi-user mode). Copy the .accdb file to an external drive, OneDrive, Dropbox — anywhere. The built-in backup scheduler can do it automatically on a schedule you set.

Can my accountant access my books directly?

Yes, several ways. (1) They can install the application and open your backup file in Accountant Mode. (2) You can give them remote access to your computer during tax season. (3) If you're on SQL Server, they can log in as a user. All three are in active use by real customers.

Is there payroll tax filing?

The Payroll module generates the data you need — 941 worksheets, W-2 data, state withholding summaries. Electronic filing to the IRS and states is typically done through your state portal or a payroll-specific service; we're not a CPEO. For fully managed payroll, an accessory can bridge to Gusto, ADP, or Paychex.

Can I customize the invoice design?

Absolutely. The invoice report is editable in the built-in Access report designer. Drop in your logo, change colors, rearrange fields, add or remove columns. The AI can also generate a new invoice template from a description — "make it more modern, with our brand blue on top" — and install it for you.

Does the AI ever get things wrong?

Occasionally, which is exactly why the default mode is approve-before-post. The AI drafts every transaction; you confirm. You see the proposed entry before it touches the ledger. Auto Mode only unlocks after the system demonstrates extended accuracy, and you can switch it off any time.

What if I find a bug?

Email us. The accounting engine is 25 years old and well exercised; novel bugs are rare. AI features are newer and do get updates. We release engine updates for free for the life of the product.

How do I install on a new computer?

Download the installer (link in your purchase email), run it, paste your license key, and the AI walks you through restoring your data from your backup. If you're on SQL Server, just re-point the application at the server.

Before you install

System requirements.

Operating system
Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit. Windows Server 2016 or later also supported.
Microsoft Access
Not required. If you don't have it, the installer downloads the free Microsoft Access Runtime automatically. If you have Access 2019, 2021, or 365, it uses what's already installed.
Memory
4 GB RAM minimum. 8 GB recommended for comfortable use with the AI assistant running.
Disk space
500 MB for the application. Plan 50 MB to 2 GB for the data file depending on your transaction volume.
Internet
Required for activation (one time) and for AI features. The accounting application itself runs fully offline.
Audio (for voice)
Speakers or headphones, any kind. A microphone is optional — voice input is planned for a near-future release.
SQL Server (optional)
If you want multi-user mode: Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later, including SQL Server Express (free). Up to 200 concurrent users supported.
Office integration (optional)
Microsoft Office 2016 or later for Word invoice templates, Excel report exports, and Outlook email. Not required — alternatives exist for everything.
